Two-Year Limited Warranty

This page explains the commercial warranty coverage for the KARC hockey training floor panels, including what is covered, what is excluded, how remedies are handled and how to make a warranty claim.

Version 1.0 · Last updated: 27 June 2026

1. Important notice

This 2-Year Limited Warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty. It gives you additional protection for the KARC product described below.

Nothing in this warranty limits, excludes or reduces any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods.

2. Who provides support

The local seller named in your order confirmation is your primary contact for orders, delivery, returns, warranty claims and after-sales communication.

Product-quality and warranty support for the KARC training floor may also be coordinated with the current product-quality responsible party through that local support process.

3. Product covered

This warranty applies to the KARC hockey training floor panels sold through this website in Finland, unless a different written warranty is provided for a specific order.

The product is designed primarily for off-ice hockey training, including shooting, puck handling, passing and related dryland training exercises.

4. Warranty period

The warranty period is two years from the date the product is delivered to the customer, unless a longer period is required by mandatory law or confirmed in writing.

For business, club, training camp, facility or other non-consumer purchases, the warranty applies to the purchasing organisation and the agreed use or site stated in the relevant order documentation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. What the warranty covers

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that appear during the warranty period under normal intended use, proper installation and reasonable care.

  • abnormal cracking, splitting or breakage under normal intended training use;
  • material brittleness, powdering, flaking or rapid surface breakdown that is not consistent with normal wear;
  • significant warping or deformation not caused by heat, incorrect storage, unsuitable ground or incorrect installation; and
  • defective interlocking edges that prevent normal assembly or create an unstable training surface.

This warranty applies to the affected KARC panel or component, not automatically to the entire installation.

6. What the warranty does not cover

  • normal wear and tear, including ordinary scratches, puck marks, stick marks, shoe marks, small scuffs or cosmetic changes that do not materially affect use;
  • expected training-use marks;
  • normal or accelerated surface wear caused by skating or slide-intensive use, unless the wear is abnormal and results from a covered defect;
  • damage caused by sharp objects, metal edges, studded footwear or unsuitable equipment;
  • damage caused by incorrect installation, uneven or unstable ground, dirt or debris under the panels or inadequate support;
  • damage caused by vehicles, heavy equipment, excessive point loads, deliberate damage, abuse or negligence;
  • damage caused by direct heat, open flame, standing water, flooding, harsh chemicals, solvents or unsuitable storage; and
  • unauthorised cutting, drilling, modification, repair attempts or incompatible third-party alterations.

7. Outdoor use

Outdoor training use is within the intended scope of the KARC product when the product is placed on a suitable, clean, stable and reasonably flat surface and used in a reasonable manner.

Outdoor use does not cover damage caused by unsuitable ground conditions, sharp debris, vehicle traffic, heavy point loads, flooding, standing water, severe weather, heat accumulation, chemicals or other excluded causes.

8. Warranty remedy

If a claim is accepted, the normal remedy is replacement of the affected defective panel or component.

  • replacement of the affected panel or component;
  • replacement with an equivalent or functionally comparable product if the same product is no longer available; or
  • a price reduction, partial refund or refund where replacement is not available or is not appropriate.

Accepted warranty claims in Finland should include standard replacement delivery where required by law or where reasonably appropriate to the accepted remedy. Installation labour, expedited delivery or special site handling is not included unless required by law or separately agreed.
